Simplicity and timeless elegance. A towering white confection designed for a wedding at the spectacular Level 89 at the Eureka Tower in Melbourne. An unforgiving design – nowhere to hide! Extended tiers hand painted in white lustre for added shimmer and crowned with an oversized sugar rose in full bloom.
This is the cake I designed for my workshops at the Cake Bake & Sweets Show in Melbourne, September 2014. I love it so much I just had to make a trio!
A towering cake created for Mariam and John’s wedding. A romantic affair featuring a gorgeous palette of deep pink and purple and the
stunning Phalaenopsis orchid. Fine fondant ruffles, silver leaf and an arrangement of sugar blooms create a towering, romantic confection.

The world is mad for art deco decadence and glamour at the moment with the release of The Great Gatsby. I had the pleasure of creating this cake for Little Sooti who was exhbiting her beautiful styling at the Melbourne Bride Wedding Expo this weekend. Art deco inspired.. rich emerald green with gold and sparkling black sugar jewels. Opulent, decadent and very Gatsby.
I was very excited to have the opportunity to work with Thetis of Little Sooti on this wedding in February. I’ve long admired her work and its always a joy to collaborate with a talented stylist on a gorgeous event.
Bessie & George’s Valentine wedding cake featuring hearts, of course, and a ruffleliscious bottom tier. Their wedding was set in the country in an amazing setting with elements of vintage chic, hobo and lots and lots of love from family and friends…a truly romantic affair.
I’ve wanted to ruffle up a cake for a while now. I first saw these gorgeous ruffles done by Sydney’s Yummy Cupcakes and Cakes -inspired by a Vera Wang wedding gown. Fondant couture. Sigh.
Congratulations Bessie & George!
Gorgeous peonies and glistening silver leaf create a stunning effect for this sophisticated wedding cake for the lovely Mikaela and Matt.
Two double barrel tiers – the bottom gilded with edible silver leaf and the top finished off with a pearl lustre – highlighted by the peachy watermelon tones of hand made sugar peonies. Top tier – Lemon butter cake with a lemon scented white chocolate ganache, bottom tier is vanilla butter cake with a raspberry swirl filled with white chocolate ganache.
A palette of soft latte contrasted with white lace, piped detail and ivory roses with dusted pink centres make for a pretty vintage style wedding cake.
Three tiers of chocolate mud cake filled with dark chocolate ganache.
The bride provided a picture of what she was after, I’m not sure who the original artist is but it does look like a Cotton & Crumbs creation to me… – thank you for the beautiful design!
