My beautiful nephew George is 1! Time for a party – roll up, the circus is in town!
I thought, hey- lets make an elephant on a ball! Great idea huh? Then I had to make it! I must admit, I have a habit of designing cakes and THEN thinking about the HOW. Hmmm, not really the way to go!

This cake was designed around the theme of a vintage circus first birthday…
Elephant body is carved from styro, covered, decorated with sugar paste and tinted with petal dust.

Cake is dark chocolate mud cake filled with dark chocolate ganache.
