A little touch of vintage…
This cake was created for a christening. It is a combination of a couple of Confetti Cake’s – of NYC – anemone cake designs. The client sent me a picture and wanted this cake but with that amount of flowers in this colour… well, the instructions were clear! This was my first time making the beautiful anemone flower and I must say I loved making them and will most likely use them again – soon!
It was an intimidating task… I had to do justice to the gorgeous designs, make anemone flowers and, the most terrifying part, pipe black royal icing onto the cake! I’m not kidding when I tell you I was a little anxious!!! Luckily it all went perfectly and the client was very happy – as was I!!!
I would love to do this one again, perhaps with anther tier or two..it would look gorgeous as a wedding cake!
