It’s a rare and beautiful thing to be trusted implicitly with your client’s vision for their event. It is especially humbling when these events mark major milestones in a family’s journey through life. I have had the privilege of creating bespoke cakes for the Vardakis family for 5 years now.. Alex is one half of the talented duo that is Melbourne stylists Avie & Lulu.

It was for little Stephanie’s christening that this cake was created, in keeping with the colour palette of soft pink, cream and peach.
A cake to celebrate a gorgeous little girl and her induction into her family’s faith and that serves as the centrepiece for an elegant and sophisticated event that is unmistakably Avie & Lulu.

The cupcakes, vanilla sugar cookies and macarons all complimented the vintage floral look of the main cake.

Hand piped lace detail and hand made blossoms and dogwood blooms adorn the cookies..

The detail on the bottom tier – a sea of hand made sugar flowers with piped centres and sugar pearls.
