This cake was created for my cousin’s little girl’s 1st birthday celebration which took place in a local park.
In coming up with a concept for the cake, I was told that little Christina loved birds. So, putting these two elements together, this design was born.

The tree was positioned on the corner to give the design an added dimension. The intention behind the leaves was to again, lift the design off the cake itself so that you could almost see them moving slightly in the breeze…

The bird on the top was made using a similar technique as the leaves.. using a smaller shape for the feathers. On the day the birthday girl wore hot pink – it was perfect!

Top two tiers chocolate mud cake filled with a dark chocolate ganache, with the bottom tier being apple and cinnamon cake filled with a caramel ganache. (This flavour has been popular lately!!!)
