My in laws play a game with my daughter which we refer to as “Toso!” In Greek this means “This much!” One grandparent will ask, “How much do you love me?” and Julia will either reply “Toso!” or “Koukoutsi” – which means “A Pip” which she illustrates by pinching two little fingers together and laughing at the mock shocked expressions! This little competition between grandma and grandpa can go on all day… and usually does.

It was grandma’s birthday on Monday and so I came up with this design as I thought it was sure to make her smile.. and it did!

The cake was chocolate fudge – 9″ round – which I carved into a heart, ganached and covered with RTR fondant. I painted the red on.. I don’t mind the stroke lines but this cake definitely made me think that its about time I learnt how to use an airbrush! Something else I could foresee myself being addicted to!
