Disco Inferno Birthday Cake
A cake created for my daughter’s 7th birthday disco party.
Carved from white chocolate and raspberry mud cake – her favourite – it sparkled and gleamed!

Andrew’s Lute
3D novelty cakes are challenging and so, so much fun to make. When asked to replicate a musician’s much loved lute, my initial reaction was ‘Yay!’ but then closer to crunch time of actually creating it I was thinking “How??” !! Too late for that now isn’t it!
Choo Choo!
Sculpted from chocolate mud cake and decorated in bright, bright colours for a lucky boy’s birthday. Bold colours and clean lines make for a fun, bright cake!
Little Red Riding Hood
A cake created for Mia’s 1st birthday… red velvet cake filled with white chocolate ganache.
I loved making this figurine, something new as I’ve never attempted this style before!

These cakes were made for siblings celebrating their birthdays together with a magic themed party. White rabbits, sparkling, glittery stars and a gorgeous palette of turquoise, fuschia and black created a magical event!
Rubber Ducky, you’re the one!
My baby girl turned 2 and we threw a party which featured her favourite colour – yellow – and her favourite thing in her little world.at the moment.. a ducky! In Greek the word is ‘papaki’… it warms my heart to see her little eyes shine and exclaim ‘papaki!!” when she sees a duck of any description. Too cute for words!
I adored making this cake.. somewhat unchartered territory as I haven’t made many 3D animal cakes but I am so happy with the result!

When an opportunity comes up to learn from one of the best cake artists in the world – you grab it. You just go. Thats it. No questions. Margie Carter is, simply, amazing. Uber talented, patient, generous with her knowledge – sugar artist, sculptor, painter and a lovely, lovely person to boot.
