My mother in law is a lovely lady – I guess I’m one of the lucky ones!
I realised that I’ve never made her a bespoke cake so I set about to rectify that for her 70th birthday.
One of my favourite things to do is paint on a cake. I love it.
I took the opportunity to do just that when Stephanie asked me to design a cake for her 30th birthday.
I love making cakes for my family – I love the implicit trust, the freedom and the love that come with the unveiling of the cake. Love it.
My beautiful niece Dimitra turned 18 and the occasion called for something different, stylish, clean yet stand out.
This event was for a very special little man, my dear friend’s baby Michael. His christening was a truly special celebration for his family and I was honoured to be able to fill his dessert table with cakes and sweets for our sweet Michael!
A cake created for my daughter’s 7th birthday disco party.
Carved from white chocolate and raspberry mud cake – her favourite – it sparkled and gleamed!
She loves things that sparkle!
I often collaborate with some of Melbourne’s most talented stylists in creating beautiful dessert tables for christenings. I had the pleasure of collaborating with the lovely and talented Thetis Sardo of Sooti Events for this pretty and elegant display to celebrate the christening of little Paris.
A sweet celebration designed around a gorgeous colour palette of blue, latte and white. A hand cut quatrefoil pattern features around the bottom tier and a hand made pair of sugar converse sneakers adorn the top of the cake.
The world is mad for art deco decadence and glamour at the moment with the release of The Great Gatsby. I had the pleasure of creating this cake for Little Sooti who was exhbiting her beautiful styling at the Melbourne Bride Wedding Expo this weekend. Art deco inspired.. rich emerald green with gold and sparkling black sugar jewels. Opulent, decadent and very Gatsby.
